The Wellington Post Office underwent a major remodeling that added 456 boxes.

Megan Lindeberg, 15, of north Fort Collins, captured the title of Grand National Champion and World Champion in the American Morgan Horse Association hunt seat on the flat senior equitation. The national horse show took place in Oklahoma City.

The Wellington Public Library celebrated its 15th anniversary in October.

The T-Bar Inn Mystery Photo Contest made its first appearance in the North Forty News in October.

A new development, Wellington West, nearly doubled the size of the town. Offered by Coalson Realty, it featured 69 residential lots sized from one-half acre to three acres.

In November, Larimer County started a long-range planning process called PLUS (Partnership Land Use System). County commissioners organized several groups to delve into issues facing the county.
