Friends rally to help family that lost home

Friends and co-workers of Jim and Sabrina Grieser, whose log home on Obenchain Road was destroyed by the Picnic Rock Fire, have rallied around the family to help them recover from their loss.

Jim Grieser is a custom log home builder, and he and his family, including children Braden and Macy, built the home.

The Griesers' home was for sale and under contract at the time of the fire, and because of the fire the sale did not go through, according to information provided by Livermore Elementary School.

The staff at Livermore Elementary, where Sabrina Grieser works as a paraprofessional, has established an account for the family to help them with general living expenses. Donations may be sent to the Grieser Care Fire Fund, c/o Emily, First National Bank, 1600 N. College, Fort Collins CO 80524.

Friends of the family have also organized a fund-raising auction, to be held at the Sundance Steakhouse on May 2, 1 to 5 p.m. People wishing to attend may call Patty Smith at 377-2368.
