Red Feather Lakes planning meetings set

The Red Feather Lakes Plan Advisory Committee held its first meeting on Nov. 18, and immediately tackled several procedural items. Future meetings will take place on the second Thursday of each month, 1:30 p.m. at the Property Owners Association building at 58 Firehouse Lane. The public is welcome to attend.

Agendas will be posted at the Red Feather Lakes library and at area businesses. If meetings need to be cancelled because of weather or dangerous driving conditions, cancellation notices will be posted at the same locations.

The Red Feather Lakes Plan Advisory Committee (PAC) is a group of concerned citizens appointed by the Larimer County Commissioners to advise the commissioners, planning commission and staff throughout development of a Red Feather Lakes Area Plan. The planning process will take approximately 18 months. A number of community events are planned for the future, particularly next summer when more homeowners will be in residence.

Each meeting will begin with an opportunity for community members to make brief comments about items that are not on the agenda. Meetings will also close with a chance for input. The meeting facilitator will ask for comments at appropriate times throughout the meeting.

Meeting notes will be prepared by staff and will be posted in a Red Feather Lakes Area Plan notebook at the library, along with materials presented at the meetings. The project web site will also include up-to-date information about the planning project.
