Larimer County Fair brings five full days of funIt's fair time in Larimer County with the carnival opening at 5 p.m. on July 31. The fair's main events take place Aug. 1 through 5. Schedules are available online at www.larimercountyfair.org. Highlights include a Classic and Antique Tractor Show Aug. 1 through 3, the junior rodeo on Aug. 2 and 3 at 10 a.m. and a free pancake breakfast on Aug. 3 from 6:30 to 9 a.m. The popular mule and draft horse pull starts at 7 p.m. Aug. 1 in the Ranch-Way Feeds Indoor Arena, and the draft horse show is Aug. 2 in the Budweiser Events Center. Admission to the fairgrounds and parking are free. This year, the PRCA Rodeo celebrates 60 years of bucking and busting when it kicks off a three-night event at Budweiser Events Center on Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. On Aug. 4 at the rodeo, it's 4-H Family Night. The rodeo concludes with "Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night" on Aug. 5 at 7 p.m., where cowboys and all attendees are encouraged to wear pink shirts, hats and boots in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Tickets for the PRCA Rodeo are $6 and $10 and can be purchased at the BEC box office. Carnival hours are noon to midnight on Aug. 1, 4 and 5 and 10 a.m. to midnight on the weekend. The Junior Livestock Sale takes place Aug. 6 at the Ranch-Way Feeds Indoor Arena beginning at 4 p.m. The county fairgrounds is located in Loveland east of Interstate 25 at Crossroads Boulevard. |
