Livermore and Glacier View fire departments conduct joint training

Glacier View Fire Chief Greg Niswender, Livermore Assistant Chief of Operations Donn Maynard and Livermore firefighter Mark Harrington provided a collaborative wildland firefighting training session for Livermore and Glacier View firefighters on April 27.

Classroom training was held in the Glacier View Meadows Mountain Meeting Place and a field exercise was held in an area burned by the High Park Fire in Glacier View Meadows.

Training of this nature expands the training capacities of each department and enhances the abilities of firefighters from the two districts to work effectively together during emergency responses.
