Poudre Canyon bighorns subject of May 10 talk

Mark Vieira, a wildlife biologist with the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission, will present a brief overview of the history and management of the Poudre Canyon bighorn sheep herd on May 10 at 7 p.m. at the Fort Collins Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Drive in Fort Collins.

The talk, hosted by the Fort Collins Audubon Society, will focus on Colorado bighorn management, history of the animals in northern Larimer County, and information from recent management and research projects involving the local herd. The program is free and open to the public.
