ENTRY RULES: (note changes from previous years)
- You must be an AMATEUR photographer--photography has never contributed significantly to your income.
- Submissions must be taken in Larimer County or Weld County, Colorado. If you have questions, please call 970-221-0213.
- Photographs must be taken during 2008.
- You may enter one photo (from film or digital camera) in each category, with the exception of the student-only division.
All photos must be submitted as prints. Color or grayscale prints are accepted. No photocopies.
- PEOPLE & THEIR PETS: Get people and animals together. Pets can include most anything, from reptiles to horses to feathered friends,
and cats and dogs, of course.
- ARTISTS AT WORK: Define art broadly--dance, pottery, crafts, painting and more, but show the artist in action.
- FOOD: Go for any stage of the food chain. If it becomes food for humans, it qualifies. Perspectives can range from a field of grain
to a close-up of a piece of fruit. Not limited to vegetarian.
- 18 & UNDER: This category is open to photographers ages 18 and under. Any subject is allowed. This age group may also enter the categories above.
- For all categories, print quality, composition and exposure are important. Preference will not be given to larger photos.
- Label the back of each submission with your name, address, phone number, approximate date of photo, location of photo, and category
you are entering. DO NOT write directly on your photograph.
- Photographers may pick up their entries at the North Forty News/Fossil Creek Current office after March 2, 2009. Otherwise, they will not be returned.
- A panel of independent judges will choose the winners. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third places in each category.
Please enclose a signed entry form with your submission.
