The Stuart Hole Fire in northwestern Larimer County saw little growth overnight, but remains 0 percent contained, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department announced Tuesday morning. More than 100 firefighters are battling the blaze on over 200 acres of rugged terrain south of Halligan Reservoir and northwest of Livermore.
While the weather is expected to be a little cooler than Monday afternoon, when the fire was first reported, strong southeast winds with gusts up to 30 to 40 mph are possible.
Evacuations remain in place for 13 homes in the Boxer Ranch subdivision along Boxer Ranch Road, while and additional 53 homes north and south of County Road 82E between County Roads 80C and 67J are still on alert and should be prepared to evacuate if needed. An evacuation center is located at the Livermore Community Hall at 1985 W. County Road 74E, about 1.5 miles from The Forks. Travel on roads in the area of County Roads 82E and 80C is restricted to residents and their assistants only.
Structure damage has been limited to two to three outbuildings but no residences, and no injuries have been reported.
